Who is responsible for your data

MCI Construction, whose contact details appear below, alone determines the processing described on this page. No data is sold, rented or transferred to a third party for commercial purposes.

The contact form

What you enter

Name, telephone number, email address (optional), town, type of project and description of your enquiry.

Why

To call you back, assess your project and draw up a quote. This data is used for nothing else: no newsletter, no marketing about other matters.

On what basis

The performance of pre-contractual steps taken at your request: you write to us in order to obtain a reply.

For how long

Three years from our last exchange, the period recommended by the CNIL, the French data protection authority, for a business contact. After that, the enquiry is deleted. If your project goes ahead, the data moves into the client file and follows the statutory retention periods for accounting records.

Who has access to it

The only people at MCI Construction who handle enquiries. The form is technically collected by our hosting provider, which acts on our behalf; on that basis, the data may be processed outside the European Union, under the contractual safeguards agreed with that hosting provider.

Audience measurement, without cookies

We count visits to find out which pages are useful. This measurement is designed never to allow you to be identified.

• No cookie and no identifier is placed on your device.
• What is recorded: the page viewed, the site you arrived from (domain name only), your screen width and, where applicable, the campaign parameters contained in the address.
• Your IP address is never retained. It is used solely, on our server, to compute a non-reversible visit number that changes every day.
• Advertising click identifiers passed on by Google or Facebook are systematically deleted on receipt.
• If your browser sends the ‘do not track’ signal, no measurement is carried out.
• This traffic data is kept for thirteen months, then deleted automatically.

The Google Maps map

The map does not load by itself: a still image is shown until you click ‘Show the interactive map’. From that click onwards, Google Ireland Ltd may place its own cookies, in line with its policy. Your choice is stored on your device only, and you can undo it by clearing your browser’s site data.

A technical display setting

On a low-powered device, the site scales back its animations and remembers that setting for the duration of your visit, in the tab’s memory. It disappears as soon as you close the tab and contains no information about you.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

With your consent, and only with it, this site uses two Google tools through Google Tag Manager: Google Analytics, which measures how pages are visited, and Google Ads, which tells us which advert brought you to us. A banner asks for this choice on your first visit, purpose by purpose if you wish. You can reject everything with a single click, and as long as you have accepted nothing, no Google script is loaded and no Google cookie is placed.

Why

To know which pages are viewed and where visits come from (Google Analytics), and to measure whether a Google advert led to a contact request, so that we only fund campaigns that are genuinely useful (Google Ads). We only look at overall statistics: these tools are not used to build a file on you.

On what basis

Your consent, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (“Informatique et Libertés”). It is never presumed: the banner’s boxes are unticked by default, and continuing to browse does not count as agreement.

Withdrawing your consent

At any time, as easily as you gave it: click “Manage my preferences” in the footer, untick the purposes you no longer want and save. Google is informed immediately, and no Google script is loaded any more from the next page onwards. To delete Google cookies already on your device, use your browser settings.

For how long

Your choice, whether consent or refusal, is kept for six months on your device (local storage, with no cookie and no transmission), after which you are asked again. We ourselves limit the cookies placed by Google Analytics to thirteen months; those of Google Ads last around three months, a period set by Google.

Google’s policy

The cookies of these tools are placed by Google Ireland Ltd (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which processes the data collected under its own policy and may transfer it outside the European Union, in particular to the United States, under the safeguards it has put in place. Its privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

What we do not do

No targeted advertising without your consent, no selling or renting of your data, no profiling outside the Google tools you have expressly accepted — and if you reject them, the site works in exactly the same way.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability in respect of your data. To exercise it, write to us at the address below, setting out your request; we reply within one month.

If our reply does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), the French data protection authority, 3 place de Fontenoy, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or at cnil.fr.
