Inside a house being renovated: plasterboard partitions with the joints taped before the finishes

Renovation

Transform, modernise and add value to your property — from a targeted refresh to renovation that involves the structure, carried out by masons.

Our approach

A successful renovation starts with an honest assessment: what can be kept, what has to be redone, and what is a matter of comfort. Our structural work background lets us judge the real condition of a structure — not just how it looks.

We then run the project site like a new build: a single point of contact, our own in-house teams for the masonry, and rigorous coordination of the other trades.

What we do

A renovation almost always combines several of these jobs. We run them together rather than one after another.

Structural repairs

An opening in a load-bearing wall, underpinning, strengthening a weakened structure: this kind of work touches the structure itself. It calls for knowing where the loads travel before the first blow of the chisel — and for taking them up properly.

Our masonry in detail

Façades

Façade renovation, render repairs, cracks and rebuilt corners: the façade protects the walls as much as it gives the house its character.

Roofing

A localised repair or a full replacement, roof structure and zinc work included, with a roof covering fixed to hold under the Tramontane.

Reconfiguring spaces

Rearranging the rooms, turning a garage into living space, bringing a tired interior up to date: the house changes what it is used for without changing address.

The process

Renovating means living with the work going on around you for a while. Better to know in advance how it is organised.

  1. Site visit and survey of the existing building

The make-up of the walls, the condition of the roof structure, signs of damp, cracks: we look first at what carries the load, then at what shows. Nothing is priced before this visit.

  2. Detailed quote and order of works

The quote sets out item by item what is being redone, what is being kept and in what order. The decisions to be made — materials, colours, site access — are settled before work starts.

  3. Structural work and repairs

Openings, underpinning, strengthening: whatever affects the structure comes first, carried out by our own masons.

  4. Finishing and handover

We then bring in the other trades through to the finishes, and hand the project over with you: clearing any snags and handing over the guarantee certificates.

Your protection

Our renovation work is covered by the statutory construction warranties — including the garantie décennale, the French ten-year structural warranty, for the work concerned.

1 year

Garantie de parfait achèvement

For the year following handover, any defects reported are put right by the company — the French one-year defects warranty.

2 years

Garantie biennale

This two-year warranty covers equipment that can be removed from the structure: taps, shutters, boiler…

10 years

Garantie décennale

For ten years it covers damage that affects the strength of the building.

In place

Assurance dommages-ouvrage

This insurance pre-finances repairs without waiting for a court decision. You are given the certificates.

FAQ

Do you work on older houses?

Yes. Older houses around Narbonne need a careful reading of what is already there: the nature of the walls, the condition of the roof structure, damp. Every project starts with a site visit to assess precisely what needs to be put right.

Can you handle several trades one after another?

Yes. As a general building contractor, we take the renovation on as a whole: the masonry by our own teams, then the other trades brought in in the order the work demands — whatever affects the structure first, the services next, the finishes last.

Do you need permission to renovate?

As soon as the work changes the external appearance of the house — façade colour, a new opening, a renewed roof covering — a prior declaration generally has to be filed at the town hall. We check this point with you, against your town's planning rules, before drawing up the quote.

Is the quote free?

Yes: the site visit and the detailed quote are free and without obligation.
