The Mediterranean style remains the most common in the region: canal-tiled roofs, light-coloured renders, generous openings and outdoor spaces designed for living outside, with a covered terrace or a pergola. It sits naturally in most of the communes around Narbonne.
The contemporary house favours simple volumes, large picture windows and open interiors. A flat roof or a shallow pitch, a play of renders and cladding: this style is attractive, but it means checking early on what local rules allow on your plot.
